Misty morning, tall trees, untouched hills and a breath of fresh air - this exactly what Kasol is! Upon reaching Kasol and a bit of walking, reach your campsite. Enjoy the greener and a happier space by the riverside. Take some rest and have your fill of breakfast. Once you are up and ready, it will be time to explore the ‘Little Amsterdam’ while making our way to Chalal. While walk through the lanes of Kasol, you will notice many Israeli cafes and shops to buy your souvenirs from. Gradually, we will walk towards, what is known as Trance and Psychedelic party village- Chalaal. This little village is tucked in the conifer dense forest. The walk doesn’t take more than 2 hours hyphenated with breaks. One can sit at the end of the village admiring the beauty of fiercely flowing Parvati river. Later in the evening, we will come back to the camping site; dance the night away around bonfire while having taste-buds teasing dinner.
Wake up to the beautiful Himalayan sunrise at Base Camp. Have breakfast and drive to centre of Kasol to start your exciting trek! Your trek starts from Kasol town center by Grahan Nahal. The easy trail which is frequently used by locals will take you to through pine forests. In couple of hours you will be able to cover much of the distance as the trail is easy to climb. After reaching the Grahan Nahal, the trail becomes rocky and steep. The locals say that the Rhododendron petals can be eaten whole and the syrup can be mixed with water to make a refreshing drink. You can definitely try that when in the Himalayas! The steep climb of an hour will take you to your destination for the day. Reach Grahan Village by evening and freshen up. Have your dinner and stay overnight the camps.
Have breakfast in the morning and start your trek towards the north of the camping ground at Grahan. You will bump into many locals on the way using the Min Thatch trail. After walking a little more, you will see the Min Thatch, Nagaru and Sar top on the mountains. The steeper trails will take you to the woods. Remember to stay with your group here as the trail becomes steeper and a bit confusing. Cross the lush green forest and reach Min Thatch. Admire the Chanderkhani stretch and many more ranges from the campsite at Min Thatch. Come back to Grahan and enjoy the last night of this trip in this heavenly hamlet
Enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful morning. It seems like a spectrum painted on the canvas. Spend some-time doing nothing at all. There's joy in doing nothing at all. Just laze around in the grass under towering pine trees with the sun filtering through the foliage. While coming back be prepared to leave a part of yourself behind.
