How to Reach- 

The Kasol Winter Trek begins in Kasol. To reach there, you can choose from any of the following transport options- 

By Road- 

There are several private and state-run buses (Himachal Road Transport Corporation – HRTC) that operate from Delhi, Chandigarh, and other major cities to Manali, with stops at Bhuntar. From Bhuntar, you can take a local bus or taxi to Kasol. Some Volvos also drop directly to Kasol.

By Train-

The nearest major railway station is Chandigarh Railway Station, located about 296 kilometers (184 miles) away. From Chandigarh, a taxi or bus (Volvo or local HRTC) can be taken to Bhuntar or directly to Kasol. The alternative is, that Joginder Nagar Railway Station is closer (144 kilometers or 89 miles) but has limited connectivity. 

By Air- 

The closest airport to Kasol is Kullu-Manali Airport (Bhuntar Airport), located about 31 kilometers (19 miles) away. From the airport, you can either take a local HRTC bus or a cab.

Itinerary

Day 1: Kasol-Chalaal

  • Misty morning, tall trees, untouched hills, and a breath of fresh air – this is often exactly what Kasol is! Upon reaching Kasol and a touch of walking, reach your campsite.
  • Enjoy the greener and a happier space by the riverside. Take some rest and have your fill of breakfast.
  • This tiny village is tucked within the conifer dense forest.
  • The walk doesn’t take quite 2 hours hyphenated with breaks. One can sit at the top of the village admiring the sweetness of a fiercely flowing Parvati river.
  • Later within the evening, we'll come to the camping site; dance the night away around a bonfire while having taste-buds teasing dinner.

Day 02 – Drive to Kasol and Trek to Grahan Village (4-5 Hours)

  • Wake up to the gorgeous Himalayan sunrise at Base Camp. Have breakfast and drive to the middle of Kasol to start out your exciting trek!
  • Your trek starts from Kasol town center by Grahan Nahal.
  • After reaching the Grahan Nahal, the trail becomes rocky and steep. 
  • The steep climb of an hour will take you to your destination for the day.
  • Reach Grahan Village by evening and shower . Have your dinner and stay overnight within the camps.

Day 03 – Grahan Village towards Min Thatch (4-5 Hours)

  • Have breakfast within the morning and begin your trek towards the north of the campsite at Grahan.
  • you'll encounter many locals on the way using the Min Thatch trail. The steeper trails will take you to the woods.
  • Remember to remain together with your group here because the trail becomes steeper and a touch confusing.
  • Cross the luxurious green forest and reach the vast expanse of nature. Admire the stretch and lots of more ranges from the valley.
  • Come to Grahan and luxuriate in the last night of this trip during this heavenly hamlet

Day 4: Kasol – Departure

  • Enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful morning. It looks like a spectrum painted on the canvas. Spend some-time doing nothing in the least .
  • There’s joy in doing nothing in the least . Just laze around within the grass under towering pine trees with the sun filtering through the foliage.
  • While returning be prepared to go away a neighborhood of yourself behind.
