The approximately 472-kilometer journey from Manali to Leh, which is open from June to October, offers breathtaking scenery, high mountain passes like Rohtang and Baralacha La, and an authentic sense of adventure.
Srinagar to Leh (about 434 km): This route, which runs through charming towns like Sonamarg, Drass, and Kargil, is a little lighter in terms of altitude increase and is open from May to November.
By Train – There isn’t a train station in Leh. About 700 kilometers away, Jammu Tawi is the closest major train station. To get to Leh from Jammu, passengers can take a bus or taxi via Srinagar.
