How to Reach- 

The beginning of Bir Billing winter trek is in Bir. To reach there, you can choose from any of the following transport options- 

By Road- 

There are several volvo and ordinary buses from Delhi and Chandigarh to Bir, operated by HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) and private operators. Private taxis are also available. 

By Train-

The nearest major railway station from Bir is Pathankot, around 140 kilometers away. You can take the narrow-gauge toy train from Pathankot to Ahju, which is about 3 kilometers from Bir. This journey takes around 7-8 hours but offers scenic views.

By Air- 

The nearest airport to Bir is Kangra Airport (Dharamshala Airport) in Gaggal, approximately 70 kilometers away. From airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus too Bir.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival at Mandi(26 km by road and 9 km Trek from Baggi)

  •  After reaching Mandi, we’ll take you to the scenic Baggi village after driving for 26 kms starting at 10 AM.
  • As soon as we reach the village, we’ll provide you with a packed lunch for a few energy before the trek. After taking a brief break post lunch, the Prashar lake trek shall commence.
  • After some high and low trekking through the straightforward and picturesque trails of Prashar, we'll reach the lakeside. The trekking duration will approximately be 4-5 hours.
  • It’ll be evening as we reach the lake, so we’ll illuminate a campfire for your enjoyment. altogether of this serenity and therefore the lake’s effervescence, we’ll provide the snacks also because the dinner.
  • in any case the high energy activities, we’ll spend an evening in camps next to the Prashar lake.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Prashar Lake| Departure from Mandi

  • After a healthy breakfast, our guide will show you the brilliant landscapes and striking views of the Himalayas.
  • We’ll visit a close-by temple and begin our journey back towards Baggi. you would like to take care on your way downwards because the trails are often slippery and there could be some weight on your shoulders.
  • We’ll take a drive to Mandi once we arrive in Baggi which can be around 3 PM. We’ll depart you to your respective destinations and hope to ascertain you again!
