By Air: Manali is well-connected to major cities in India via air, road, and rail. The nearest airport is the Kullu-Manali Airport (Bhuntar Airport), which is located about 50 km from Manali. From the airport, you can hire a taxi to reach Manali and begin your Hampta Valley Trek.

By Train: The closest railway station is Joginder Nagar, which is about 165 km from Manali. Alternatively, you can take a train to Chandigarh (approximately 310 km) and then travel to Manali by road to start your Hampta Valley Snow Trek.

By Bus: You can reach Manali via road by taking a bus or taxi from Delhi, Chandigarh, or other major cities. The road journey can take around 12-14 hours from Delhi, depending on traffic and road conditions. Regular Volvo and semi-sleeper buses operate from Delhi ISBT to Manali, making it convenient for trekkers heading to Hampta Valley.

  • The Hampta Snow Valley Trek begins with your arrival in Manali, a popular hill station located in the Kullu Valley.
  • Upon arrival, take a taxi to our Manali campsite. Old Manali is known for its vibrant cafes, traditional Himachali architecture, and stunning views of the Beas River.
  • You can spend the day exploring the town, visiting the famous Hadimba Temple, a beautiful shrine dedicated to the goddess Hadimba, and indulging in some local delicacies in the market.

  • After breakfast, you will be driven to Prini, a Heritage Homestay located just 4.5 kilometres (2.5 miles) away from Manali.
  • This is where your trekking adventure begins. The trek to the beautiful Sethan Village, situated at an altitude of 2,850 meters (9,350 feet).
  • Once you reach the Homestay at Sethan Valley, you will check into your rooms and spend the night under the starry sky.

  • As you trek towards the Hampta Valley, you will be mesmerised by the scenic beauty that surrounds you.
  • You can take your time to admire the beauty of the surroundings, click photographs and create memories that will last a lifetime.
  • After this, we will trek back to the same route. Upon returning to Sethan, you'll visit the famous igloo stays that have made this village renowned among winter adventure seekers. Get an exclusive guided tour of these fascinating snow structures, learn about their traditional construction techniques, and experience the unique interior of these snow domes.   • After breakfast, you will trek back to Prini, retracing the same trail you took on day 2.
  • The trek takes around 3 to 4 hours, and you will once again pass through the beautiful landscapes of the Hampta Valley.
  • You will reach Manali by noon, and the trek ends with your departure from Manali.

Frequently asked questions

On Day 3, after trekking to Hampta Valley and back, you'll visit the famous igloo accommodations in Sethan. This includes a guided tour of the igloos, understanding their construction, experiencing the interiors, and enjoying refreshments. While the visit and experience are included, overnight stays inside the igloo can be arranged at an additional cost upon request.

The igloos are operational during winter months from December to March when there's sufficient snow. January and February offer the best conditions with maximum snowfall, making your igloo experience even more memorable.
