Itinerary

Day 1: - Arrival in Manali

  • Arrive at Manali and check in to your stay at the campsite. 
  • Spend your day in leisure and exploring Manali. 
  • Go sightseeing, take walks in the streets of Manali, and explore the beauty of Manali.
  • You can go for cafe hopping in Old Manali in the evening and indulge yourself in live music, bonfires, and such activities. 
  • Dinner will be served at the campsite.
  • Spend your night in camps on the riverside.

Day 2: - Manali to Chandratal

  • Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast. 
  • After breakfast, get ready for your Spiti Valley trip as your adventure is about to begin!
  • Head towards Chandratal, the crescent moon-shaped lake,
  • You will be passing by Kibber, Chhicham Bridge, and Kunzum Pass.
  • Chhicham Bridge is the highest bridge in Asia. Witness the thrill it offers to your eyes and nerves!
  • Once there at Chandratal Lake, experience the surreal beauty it holds. 
  • Chandratal is a stunning high-altitude lake located at an altitude of approximately 4,300 meters (14,100 feet).

Day 3: - Chandratal to Kaza

  • As you leave Chandratal, you will retrace your path to panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks and the vast expanse of the Spiti Valley. 
  • Drive to the impressive and eye-catching Dhankar monastery.
  • Dhankar, perched on a riverside cliff during the Spiti Valley's Nono monarchs' dominion, served as the region's previous capital.
  • It provides sweeping views of the river valley and looks out towards the Spiti River. 
  • Visit one of the Spiti Valley's oldest Gompas.
  • Overnight stay there in Kaza and refuel yourself for the next day as your road trip is gonna take you to more and more majestic views!

Day 4: - Kaza-Hikkim-Komik Village-Lalung-Langza

  • Start from Kaza today and begin your road trip for the day. 
  • From Kaza, head towards Hikkim, a small village located at an altitude of approximately 4,400 meters (14,435 feet).
  • Hikkim is famous for having the world's highest post office, where you can send postcards to your loved ones. It's a unique and memorable experience to send mail from such a high-altitude location.
  • From Hikkim, continue your journey to Komic Village, situated at an elevation of about 4,520 meters (14,830 feet).
  • Komic is known for its stunning landscape and the presence of the Tangyud Monastery, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. 
  • Take some time to explore the monastery and soak in the tranquillity of the village.
  • Proceeding from Komic, make your way to Lalung, a small village nestled amidst picturesque mountains.
  • Lalung is renowned for its ancient monastery, Lalung Monastery, which is perched on a hilltop. 
  • After visiting Lalung, head to Langza, a picturesque village located at an altitude of approximately 4,400 meters (14,435 feet).
  • Langza is famous for its stunning views of the Chau Chau Kang Nilda peak and the presence of a giant Buddha statue.

  • Uncover the Golden Temple, the Temple of the Bodhisattva Maitreya, The Chamber of Pictures, The Temple of Mahakala Vajra Bhairava, The Temple of Dromton, and The Temple of Enlightened Gods in Tabo.
