By Air:  The nearest airport is Gaggal Airport in Dharamshala, which is around 18 kilometers (11 miles) away.

By Train: The nearest railway station is Pathankot Railway Station, which is around 90 kilometers (56 miles) away. From Dharamshala or McLeodGanj, you can take a taxi or local bus to reach Dharamkot.

By Bus: You can also take a direct bus from Delhi or Chandigarh to Dharamshala or McLeodGanj, and then hire a taxi or take a local bus to reach Dharamkot.

Day 1: Dharamkot to Triund Top Trek

  • Start early from Dharamkot and begin the trek to Triund. The trek is around 9 kilometers and takes around 4-6 hours to complete, depending on your pace.
  • Take a break at Magic Viewpoint to enjoy the scenic beauty and to catch your breath. Continue the trek to Triund, and after reaching the ridge, enjoy the panoramic views of the Dhauladhar range.
  • Get lost amidst the pleasing views of sunset and witness the different shades of the sky. Set up your campsite and spend the night under the stars, enjoying delicious dinner.

Day 2: Triund back to Dharamkot

  • Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the mountains and enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee. After breakfast, begin your descent towards Dharamkot.
  • The trek down takes around 3-4 hours. Take a break at Magic Viewpoint again, and capture some final memories of the stunning view.
  • Reach Dharamkot by afternoon and proceed to McLeodGanj or Dharamshala for your onward journey.
