On day one, arrive at Mcleodganj and check in to your Camps. Rest for a while, and get ready to explore Mcleodganj! Spend the day sightseeing and indulge yourself in everything this place has for you. Visit Namgyal Monastery, which serves as the residence of the Dalai Lama. Go to Naddi village, situated on a ridge, providing a vantage point to enjoy breathtaking sunsets and panoramic vistas of the Kangra Valley. Visit St. John’s Church, situated amidst the deodar forest, in the wilderness, which is a famous landmark in Mcleodganj. Make your return to the Campsite later in the evening after exploring Tibetan culture, Tibetan cuisine, and vibrant culture with pristine beauty. Have your dinner and spend the night in the Camps.
Wake up early as we have this day for a day hike to Triund, a popular trek that is 7 km from Mcleodganj. Trek around 4hr to reach Triund top, through a gradual ascend. The trail winds through lush green forests of oak, deodar, and rhododendron, offering beautiful views along the way. As you ascend, the trail unveils breathtaking views of the Kangra Valley and the surrounding snow-capped peaks of the Dhauladhar range. The beauty of the landscapes, with verdant meadows, rocky terrains, and distant mountains, is a treat for nature lovers and photographers. The trek culminates at the Triund Hilltop, located at an altitude of approximately 2,875 meters (9,429 feet). The hilltop offers panoramic views of the mighty Dhauladhar range, including peaks like Mun Peak, Rifle Horn, and Slab. The three breaks at local tea houses, where you may unwind and refuel with hot Maggi and tea, are the highlight of the entire adventure. The serene atmosphere and the vast expanse of the valley below make it a perfect spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of the Himalayas. Camp overnight at the Triund Hilltop and witness the mesmerizing sunset and sunrise views. Camping under the starry sky amidst the mountainous backdrop adds to the adventure and charm of the trek.
Wake up to a beautiful sunrise on Triund top and get ready to descend back. Afterward, a vehicle will take you to Bir. Check in to your stay and refresh yourself as you will be going to explore Bir Billing. Get ready and go out to explore what Bir Billing has to offer you. Explore places to immerse themselves in Tibetan culture, visit monasteries, interact with the locals, and savor Tibetan cuisine. Visit Chokling Monastery, a beautiful Tibetan Buddhist monastery located in Bir. It is known for its intricate architecture, vibrant murals, and serene surroundings. Bir has a thriving food scene with numerous cafes and restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. Indulge yourself in local Himachali dishes and Tibetan delicacies. Explore as much as you can and come back to the campsite later in the evening. Spend the night at the campsite.
