Itinerary

Assemble at the meeting point in Shimla by 7:00 AM.
Begin your journey with a scenic drive through Narkanda and Rampur.
The drive to Kafnu is approximately 208 km and takes around 7–8 hours.
Kafnu is a serene village in the Bhaba Valley of Kinnaur, nestled amidst apple orchards and pine forests.
On arrival, check into your homestay or guesthouse for the night.
Rest well before your trek begins the next morning.

Day 2: Trek from Kafnu to Mulling (3,250 m)

Wake up early to a beautiful Himalayan morning and fuel up with breakfast.

The trek is about 11 km and takes 6–7 hours, moderate in difficulty.

After breakfast, start your journey towards Kara.

Reach the lush campsite of Kara and settle in for the night.

Day 4: Trek from Kara to Phustirang (4,000 m)

Start early for the trek to Phustirang, the base of Bhaba Pass.
The trail follows the Phustirang stream with moraine crossings and scenic ridges.
Be prepared for some steep climbs and brook crossings.
On clear days, you may spot the imposing Hansbeshan Peak (5,840 m).
Reach the Phustirang campsite by early evening and rest for the next day’s pass crossing.

Day 5: Phustirang to Baldar via Bhaba Pass (4,900 m)

Begin before sunrise for the most challenging yet rewarding day of the trek.
Climb steadily to reach Pin Bhaba Pass (4,900 m), the highest point of the trek.
Witness the dramatic shift from the green valleys of Kinnaur to the cold desert landscape of Spiti.
Descend carefully into the Pin Valley, crossing loose gravel, snow, and glacial sections.
Reach Baldar (3,950 m) after a 9–10 hour trek covering approx. 11 km.
Overnight stay in tents.

Day 6: Baldar to Mudh (3,750 m) – Optional Transport to Kaza

Final day of trekking as you descend to Mudh, a scenic village in Spiti.
The trail is mostly downhill and takes around 5–6 hours to cover 9 km.
Cross a suspension bridge over the Pin River before entering Mudh.
From here, transport to Kaza or Manali can be arranged on a shared cost basis.
Optional: If you choose to stay, explore Kaza and spend the night in a comfortable homestay (not included in the base package).
